Post Doctoral Research Fellow - University of Plymouth

Robert Mill

Robert Mill completed a B.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science and, more recently, a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Sheffield. The latter investigated which aspects of passive sonar design could be informed by models of effective signal processing in the mammalian auditory system, with a special emphasis on the processing of temporal fine structure at the auditory periphery. His primary research interests include computer models of stimulus-specific adaptation, perceptual streaming and auditory bistability. When he is not working, he can be found drinking coffee, reading science fiction from c. 1850-1960, and listening to classical music or synthpop.
